Ali

Soundcloud Facebook

An Orange County native, Ali is a 21 year old looking to bring a new perspective to the turntables. As a frequent festival attendee, his musical palate ranges from indie and old school rock to hip hop and electro. Ali has a 6 year background in classical piano, and began to experiment with mixing and producing music upon entering UC San Diego. He quickly fell in love with the idea of piecing together his favorite tracks to create mixes to evoke all sorts of emotions. His musical philosophy is that every set is an opportunity to connect with the crowd and take them on a musical journey. A lot of DJs would argue that crowd interaction on the mic is part of the act, but Ali would prefer to let the music do the talking for him.

Jun

Soundcloud

Finding the right sound and style has been an ongoing yet rewarding journey for Jun. As a veteran member of UCSD's very own DJ's & Vinylphiles Club (DVC) in his college years, his exposure to a wide variety of genres combined with his own personal tastes proved to be successful as he and Nick Reamaroon's collaboration as Break North were crowned winners of the 2012 Sun God DJ Battle. By mixing and mashing the current sounds of Trance, Electro House, and Progressive genres in his sets, Jun breathes new life into even the most familiar Big Room anthems as he steps on stage for Hullabaloo 2013.

Amusements

Here are some things you should know about the amusement rides:

Kamikaze

Take a gondola ride with your friends -- just take out the belting singer and water, add ridiculous speeds and a full 360 rotation, and you’ve got yourself the Kamikaze. Swing and build momentum slowly until you take in a full view of Town Square and spiral towards the ground!

Zipper

In an adrenaline packed whirl of unpredictability, the Zipper has truly earned its right as the festival centerpiece. The Zipper allows riders to experience the world upside down and spun around with free-flipping cars that rotate like a Ferris Wheel!

Round Up

A classic carnival staple, the Round Up is a Hullabaloo veteran. Step on up and immerse yourself in the ride’s dazzling colors and lights. Explore the world from a blend of visuals and audio in a way you have never imagined!

Zipline

The initial drop will take your breath away, and then let the smiles take over the rest of your ride! Soar through the air and scope the festival from Town Square to Matthews Quad. Over the span of 200 feet, you will be able to travel down Rupertus Lane like you never have before!
